Fireworks and Trips to the ER

This year we all got to spend our 4th of July in Arkansas.  This was a very fun experience because we've never spent our 4th of July anywhere except Florida.  The one thing that surprised me the greatest was that here in Arkansas The 4th of July isn't just another holiday to set off fireworks at... It's a day to celebrate America's freedom.  Back in Florida we all said "Happy 4th of July" and then set off fireworks then it was over.  Here they have fair's, HUGE firework displays, and everyone is happy to celebrate America's freedom.

On July second it rained... all day long, but my friend invited me to a Fourth of July fair thing at their church tomorrow.  So on July third I went to a pre-celebration of The Fourth of July.  Now when I say pre-celebration your probably thinking a little get together with sparklers or something like that... This was so much better.  They had a giant fair with games, food, and Mikeschair (a Christian band on the top 20) was even playing there live.  It was so much fun, and when they set off fireworks they set off probably as many as the mall set off in Florida.  It was AMAZING!

Then the big day The 4th of July... didn't start out too good.  I started it out waking up at 3:30 a.m. barely being able to move.  So I got my Dad up and he took me to the ER.  They did a bunch of stuff to figure out what is was, and I still don't know what it is.  The doctor does but I didn't understand what he was saying.  All I know is that I'm having pains in my lower abdomen bad enough that I came home with pain medicine.

The day got a lot better though.  I went to the pool with my friends and then went to the fair/fireworks at the base lake.  It was so much fun.  My friends and I all walk around in a group we played games, talked, and did stuff like that.  When the fireworks went off it was like watching them in a movie they shot off fireworks for 30 min to an hour.  Every time they shot a firework it was amazing.  They made a waterfall out of fireworks and a mini American flag (not in the sky).

Mountain's, Waterfalls, and How To Have Fun Changing The Oil.

My Dad was very happy with his Father's Day's present this year.  We all put our money together and bought him a laptop.  He has been wanting his own computer for a while now, so he was very pleased with this gift.  The next day he and I booted it up to watch Terminator Salvation.  It worked great.

For Father's Day we all went to Pinnacle Mountain.  This mountain is over one thousand feet tall.  My Dad, older sister, and I hiked the whole way.  We were very happy that my little brother got a pass for this trip.  It was fun getting to see him after such a long time.  I was kind of nervous though, I had my pocket knife in my pocket and he kept trying to get me to show it to him.  For some reason he wouldn't take a picture with anyone either unless we were all in the picture.

The next week we found out he didn't have a pass.  We still went to Petite Jean State Park, but I wonder what it would've been like if he had been there.  When we got there we hiked up the trail and at the end got to play in a waterfall.  Even though Arkansas is in a drought; the waterfall was still falling steadily.  We got to stand under the water fall and play around, but we had to be careful because it was very slippery.

Two days ago my Dad and I took the car to get the oil changed.  The guy took the car and told us that it would be an hour long wait (he lied),  so my Dad and I had to wait.  So we walked across the street to a "video store" called Hasting's.  The reason I put video store in quotes is because this was not a video store... this was heaven.  Sure they had  movie's and video games, but half the store was comic books, collectibles, or jokes/gags.  They had everything.

They had Doctor Who Sonic Screwdrivers,  Star Trek Communicators and Phasers (the originals) even BBQ Brander's all this amazing stuff.  We had a blast.  So we obviously got some stuff and were not bored the whole time.  after the oil was done (which took about two hours) we went to get something to eat.  We found some of the best food in the world.  Fried Pie... yes the pie was fried.  It wasn't just called that, I had chocolate cream pie that was fried.

Today Normal is So Incredibly Happy.

Finally Made It!

Were finally here.  We Arrived in Arkansas on the 11th.  When we got here we ran into some unexpected problems.  They told us that they did not have us down for a pet room and that we would have to keep the dog in a kennel for the entire summer.  We weren't going to do this so my Mom and Dad stood in the building debating for a room for an hour.  We finally got a room at 1:00 am.

We had to settle for a one room apartment.  My parents got the room with the beds and my sisters got the futon... I got a chair.  I had to sleep on the chair until we moved into another room because I wasn't going to make anyone else sleep on a chair.  We were told that we were moving this Saturday.  Thankfully we moved today.

We moved into a two bedroom apartment today.  So that my sisters get beds my parents get a bed and I get the futon.  And the good news keeps on coming.  We also live right next to the outdoor area.  That's were the dogs use the bathroom, get excercise, and the kids play on the playground.  And when I say right next to I mean right next to we walk out the door turn to the left and there's the outdoor area.

Were really happy with the stuff to do on the base too.  There's all sorts of entertainment right across the street things like: a movie theater, a pool, a library, a park, and a gym just to name a few.  My little sister has been going to VBS (Vacation Bible School) every morning and she is having lots of fun there.  We found out today while walking to the pool (which we go to everyday) that they are having a movie at the lake/park.  We decided that were going to go.  It's on June 24 and my little sister is very happy that the movie is "Gnomeo and Juliet".

Tired...Tired...AWESOME!!!!

Ok well since were leaving tomorrow we've been cleaning, packing, and all that other fun stuff.  I have to clean the kitchen this month. So when my mom was gone a couple days ago I decided to surprise her and clean the kitchen fully I grouted the tile, wiped the fridge, wiped the cabinets, mopped the floor, did all the dishes, and bleached the sink.  And after that I was TIRED.  I mean it took me a while to do all that so I spent almost all day cleaning the place.

Well there was an awesome part of this week for everyone in the family, though; it wasn't the same for all of us.  My two Sisters and my Mom went to a Taylor Swift concert (blech *throwing up*) and as you can tell I'm glad I wasn't there.  My Dad and I stayed home and he just randomly looked at me and said "Wanna go for a walk" So I said sure and we walked to the movie theater and saw x-men: first class.  I just have to say that movie was awesome.  Anyways a couple of days ago one of my friends slept over my house for the last time in three months and now my older Sister's best friend is sleeping over.  Today Normal is Tired yet Happy.

Goodbye Florida. Hello Arkansas!

My Dad called my mom this morning and let her know that he got his detail back this morning and were leaving for arkansas this summer.  Were leaving on June 10th eight days from today.  I can't wait!  This summer I'm going to get to go to Arkansas meet new people be places I've never been and most importantly get to spend lot's of time with my little brother.  Today we've been getting ready for the trip.

We've decided that were bringing the dog, and the wii.  Everyone else gets to decide what they want to bring but we have to limit it because were driving up there and only taking our van.  Each person has to bring 14 outfits for themself and then the stuff they can't (or really don't want to) go without for the whole summer.  I'm bringing my guitars (both of them) and a bunch of books I've already decided on those.  I can't wait to leave although I'll miss everyone in Florida.  Today normal is excited!

Great Weekend But Always Wondering....

This weekend I went to JYIG which for all of you who do not know is the middle school Youth In Government program.  I left on thursday and just got to my grandma's house today.  I'm at my grandma's house because even though I was at JYIG my family was in Arkansas... visiting my little brother.  I can't help but wondering what they are doing right now and how my little brother is doing.  I miss him alot so I just want to know.  He called me and told me he was having fun with the family dog (which my parents brought with them on the drive up) and that there were going out to eat.  I am so happy that he is having a good time and hope that he knows that I wish I was there.

At JYIG I had the chance to present my bill and debate other bills.  I am very glad to say that my bill passed and that I was awarded with runner-up for best statesman.  Best statesman is the award for the person who was respectful and had the most and best debate's.  We played lot's of games at JYIG but my favorite would have to be the rock, paper, scissors showdown.  In this game you would walk up to people tell them your name get their name and challlenge them to rock, paper, scissors.

Then if you won the game they would become part of you "possy" and you would keep playing learning everyone's names until someone won the game.  Which I am also glad to say that I won the first time we played this game and it was very fun to play.  Well that's a breif (very breif) recap of my weekend.  Today normal is happy yet curious.

Just Another Normal Day

Today was an action packed day.  First I woke up and headed to the mall for my little sister's "Bridging to Brownie's" Girl Scout ceremony.  While I was there my awesome aunt (who bought me the last five books in the "Ranger's Apprentice" series a couple days ago) gave me and my two sister's $20 each to spend in the mall. Isn't she cool?  When we got home we all just relaxed. I read my books; I don't know what everyone else did though.  Anyway, at 2:30 we left to go to my mom's best friend's oldest daughter's high school graduation (wow that's a mouthful).  So we got there at 3:00 and watched her graduation.  Well yesterday my dad took me to the army-navy store and let me get dog tags and some other stuff .  He took me because I stayed home that day while my sisters were at the beach and helped my mom clean.  Oh by the way check out this really cool blog I saw (no it's not mine) the adress is: http://thechroniclesoflerr.blogspot.com/.  Today Normal is Fun.

Really... You Call This Normal?

My Life is hardly ever normal.  Then again it wouldn't be with all the stuff that goes on in my life.  I have been living for six years now with a brother who has RAD.  My family adopted my little brother when he was just six years old, he is now twelve and currently does not live with us.  In case you don't know what RAD is it's a condition that you get from being abused (as he was by his biological parents) and makes it hard for him to have a bond with anyone.  He also has cystic fibrosis which is a lung disease and he has problems with hallucinations that make him sometimes want to hurt my family.
He is currently in arkansas in his second SIP facility.  My mom says that even though all this is happening a good thing happened too.  My family has been taught about mental illness and we know what it really is.  This blog will cover our life and all that is going on in it.  All I ask of the people who read this is to pray that things will get better in our family and my little brother will be able to come home.
I live now live with my two sisters and my parents.  I have an older sister who is fourteen and a younger sister who is seven I am thirteen.  My Dad is thirty-nine and my Mom is..... well she stopped aging at twenty-one.  We go up to see my little brother in arkansas once a month.  My Dad has put in for detail at work to see if he can transfer to arkansas and work there for the summer so we can be with my little brother all summer.
Oh Yeah my mom also has a blog if you want to read her account of our life her adress is: http://learningtoraindance.blogspot.com/, my older sister has a blog to but her blog is on politics if you want to read it her adress is: http://anewgenerationonpolitics.blogspot.com/.  Today normal is non-existent.
